Skincare Creams for Dry Acne-Prone Skin October 14, 2019
I have oily and acne-prone skin so my skincare regimen typically involves gel creams or fluids. However, with the turning season and the cold weather in play, my skin has been so dry, to the point where I need to step up my cream game to products that are thicker in texture. I didn’t want to use anything that would irritate my skin or break me out, so I was very careful in my selection. I might have eczema too, so I was looking for products that didn’t aggravate my skin either. I found 3 products that work like a charm to hydrate my skin without breaking me out.
Embryolisse’s Lait-Crème Concentré is a multifunctional product that is so rich and moisturizing, my skin feels so soft, plump and glowing. It doesn’t leave a greasy film and works wonderfully as a primer in the morning before makeup application. It’s really soothing on the skin, especially on eczema patches.
SRP: $39 for 75mL
Laneige’s Water Bank Moisture Cream has a new look and formula. It contains mineral-rich vegetable extracts to help strengthen skin’s barrier for a hydrated, balanced complexion. There are two versions of this product, the Gel Cream for normal to combination skin, and the Moisture Cream for normal to dry skin. I use the former during the warmer seasons and switch to the latter for the colder ones. I love the fact that it’s rich but still lightweight. Its formula is free of parabens and phthalates.
SRP: $50 for 50mL
Thick and oil-free, La Roche-Posay’s Toleriane Ultra Fluide moisturizer intensely moisturizes and relieves my skin type by cocooning it with a soothing film that doesn’t appear or feel greasy. It’s perfect for sensitive skin as well.
SRP: $34 for 40mL
