If you’ve been following me for some time now, you know I’m a sucker for new skincare products, especially those that are specifically formulated for acne-prone skin. I’m out of my teen years, so I thought I’d be done with acne, but I thought wrong! One pimple pops up after the other so I’m always willing to try new products in my skincare routine to find a regime that keeps pimples at bay.
The team at Dr. Hauschka were so kind to send me some products to review. If you’re unfamiliar with the brand, Dr. Hauschka has tons of natural products that target different skin concerns.
I love myself a good toner and I’ve been using one for quite some time now. Although I use a cleanser in the morning and evening, I feel like a toner helps to rebalance my skin and give it radiance, something a moisturizer doesn’t do. The Facial Toner comes out as a spray to facilitate application so that you can apply it directly on to the skin or spritz it onto a cotton pad and apply it that way. The main ingredient is Anthyllis extract, which helps to keep the skin balanced, and witch hazel extract to refine pores and support tone and elasticity. It’s toner that doesn’t sting and that’s gentle on sensitive skin.
I was a little reluctant to try the next product. It’s a Clarifying Day Oil, but I thought it was bizarre to apply oil on my already oily skin to control the production of excess oil. I don’t know how that works, but let me tell you, it’s a product that does! It absorbs quickly into the skin so you can go on with the rest of your face care routine. Pores are less apparent and I’ve noticed fewer blemishes on the surface of the skin since I started using it. Add a few drops to the tips of your fingers and gently pat on the skin.
A rich cream that nourishes and protects the skin, the Rose Day Cream acts to conceal redness, irritation and couperosis. This is a skin concern that I don’t have so it’s not a product that I would use all over my face. I haven’t had a major breakout recently, but I thought that I could try this cream on blemished areas to see if it would minimize the redness. It’s formulated with rose petals and wild rose hips to balance the skin, as well as shea butter, rose petal wax and avocado oil to lock in moisture.
