I’ve been doing my lashes for over a year now because I have barely-there lashes and I despise removing mascara at the end of the day. It seems like no matter what makeup remover product I use, there’s always mascara residue left behind that ends up transferring on to my under eyes. The only time I apply mascara is when I’m at the point where my lash extensions have mostly fallen off and I need to keep things looking relatively normal until my next refill. I received these two lash products by YSL Beauty from a PR company to review, and it just so happened that I was in such a period so it was the perfect time to try them out.
The Volume Effet Faux Cils Flash Primer is a pink product that is applied to the lashes to prep them before applying mascara. I was so surprised to see how my lashes were instantly lengthened and since the product is tinted pink, you can ensure that every lash is covered. After a few seconds, the product turns into a transparent base, and your lashes are more defined and longer thanks to the comb bristle wand.
The Volume Effet Faux Cils The Curler mascara gives your lashes a natural curl with its curved wand. The fibre brush creates a clump-free and voluminous look and the pink elastomer comb adds instant lift and definition. The product is in Rebellious Black so you’re sure to get a bold look with this mascara. I love the fact that you don’t have to layer on many coats to achieve a dramatic look, one will suffice! It leaves a velvety feel on the lashes and it doesn’t run!
The best part, these products come off so effortlessly! I use makeup remover wipes to take the day off and I just need to hold the cloth on my lashes for a few seconds before swiping the product away. I use a gentle foaming cleanser to get rid of any excess gunk and my lashes are mascara-free.
Both the primer and mascara retail for $40 and are available at Sephora.

YSL mascaras are high on my list to try! Beautiful pictures too!
Thank you! 🙂
It’s a great duo, you must try it!
I would love to try this product out. I haven’t tried any YSL mascaras but I’ve been into mascara primers lately.
