I’m heading out on a business trip this week and as I was packing my toiletries, I thought I’d share with you what I bring along with me! Since I’m on the road, I can’t pack my full-size products so here are the items that I use to keep my acne-prone skin in check.
BIODERMA SÉBIUM H20 MICELLAR WATER
Bioderma’s micellar waters are the bomb, and I’m so happy that they have one that’s made for oily skin, Sébium H20. The teeny tiny bottle is convenient for travel and I take it with me on every trip. It’s a great makeup remover that gets the gunk off without stripping any moisture away from my skin and doesn’t leave any oily deposits or anything that could mess with this hot mess of a skin I have.
URIAGE MICELLAR AND THERMAL WATER MAKEUP REMOVER WIPES
I find when I use a makeup remover, there is sometimes a little makeup residue that remains on the skin. I love using these wipes to ensure that my face is completely clear of makeup. Uriage’s Makeup Remover Wipes are the only ones on the market that contain both micellar water and thermal water. They’re enriched with cranberry extract so they moisturize the skin, leaving it so soft and smooth. They come in a resealable package so they’re perfect for travelling.
BIODERMA SÉBIUM PURIFYING CLEANSING FOAMING GEL
Once all my makeup is removed, I use a facial cleansing gel to refresh my skin. I know it may seem like many redundant steps with the micellar water and wipes prior to this one, but I feel like it is necessary to ensure that my skin is completely clean and purified. Bioderma’s Sebium Purifying Cleansing Foaming Gel is a face cleanser that doesn’t dry out my skin and limits the formation of blemishes. It applies on nicely and rinses off easily.
VASANTI BRIGHTEN UP! NEW SKIN AMPLIFYING MOISTURIZER
Now that my skin is completely cleansed, I use Vasanti’s Brighten Up! New Skin Amplifying Moisturizer to nourish my skin with super-targeted actives and anti-oxidants that work to give me smoother and brighter looking skin. It’s lightweight and non-greasy and refreshes the skin upon application.
URIAGE THERMAL WATER
I have a Uriage Thermal Water bottle everywhere: in my bathroom, on my vanity table, in my handbag and in my travel bag. It’s a versatile mineral water that comes out in a spray that can be applied anywhere and everywhere on the body. I use it to soothe my skin post-shower and after cleansing my face, in my eyes throughout the day when they become dry, and as a makeup setting spray. Just spritzing a bit of Thermal Water on your face when you’re feeling a little full will give you a refreshed feeling and a little boost in the afternoon to keep your day going.
NUXE RÊVE DE MIEL ULTRA-NOURISHING LIP BALM
Wherever I go, I need to have some kind of lip care with me. Lately, I’ve been using Nuxe’s Rêve de Miel Ultra-Nourishing Lip Balm to keep my lips nourished. It’s made with honey and precious oils that give it a subtle taste of yummy grapefruit. It has a rich texture that melts right into the skin that can be applied on very thinly or thickly. When my lips are chapped, I’ll apply a thick layer of this balm before going to bed and my lips feel oh so soft in the morning.
NUXE RÊVE DE MIEL HAND AND NAIL CREAM
My hands are always in need of hydration, and Nuxe’s Rêve de Miel Hand & Nail Cream provides the nourishment they need. Its formula helps to repair and relieve dry and damaged hands and doesn’t leave a greasy residue. I apply it on my hands and nails, concentrating on my cuticles.
CLEAN & CLEAR OIL-ABSORBING SHEETS
I don’t know about y’all, but I have the shiniest t-zone that could possibly ever exist. No matter what moisturizers or products I use, my skin doesn’t give a care and will continue to become oily and shiny. Even in the fall when skin naturally becomes drier because it’s colder out, my skin still manages to keep doing its thing. I will always have a pack of these Clean & Clear Oil-Absorbing Sheets and they have saved my life, time and time again. Ok, not quite literally, but it amazingly absorbs all the excess sebum from my face in a hot second leaving me feeling refreshed. If I had to make a shortlist of my top 5 holy grail items that I could bring if I were ever stuck on a deserted island, this product would definitely make that list. They’re SO affordable and practical to travel with since they take no space at all.
