I’m all for trying new things, so when I was selected to test and review the Vichy Body Care Routine for ChickAdvisor, I was absolutely thrilled. I never tried Vichy products before, but I’ve always seen them in stores, but viewed the brand as high-end. There were different skincare routines that you could be selected for, but depending on the survey that you filled out regarding your skin type and needs, they best assess which kit to send you. As past of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club, I was given four weeks to fully test out the products to get a better feel of them and to see the results on my skin overtime.
There were three products in my kit, a spa shower gel cream, a serum milk body lotion and a replumping lip balm. These items were seamless to integrate into my skincare routine since I already use a similar product on a daily basis.
I really enjoyed using the shower gel cream, and a little bit of product goes a long way, especially when using a loofa. The gel’s texture was exactly that of gel, it was thick but foamed up nicely in a wet loofa. The fragrance is subtle yet pleasant. It reminded me of a mix of flowers and grapefruit and left a residual smell on my skin after showering. A few days later, I noticed visible red spots on my back diminished. Overall, my skin felt smooth and refreshed.
I’m used to using butter-based creams or creams that have a thicker consistency because I feel like they nourish and keep my hands soft and hydrated. When I saw that this was a milk cream, I already had my hesitations about this product. This serum-milk is a thinner and runny cream that absorbs into the skin and leaves a soft touch to my skin, but after a few minutes, my skin tightened and felt a bit dry. After a few days of pressing through to see if my skin would soften, I wasn’t happy with the results and reverted back to using my regular body lotion.
I tend to have dry lips and find myself applying lip balm throughout the day. I literally have one everywhere, on my nightstand table, in my handbag and on my office desk. When I saw this lip balm in the package, I had high hopes and was eager to use it. It had the similar fruity and floral fragrance to the body gel and cream, and the texture was of a thick transparent serum that melted with the heat of my lips. After brushing my teeth in the morning, I would apply the lip balm prior to starting my makeup routine. Immediately, my lips were so soft, I couldn’t stop smacking them. It was so easy to apply and didn’t leave a sticky residue.
All in all, I was happy I was able to test out these products and would definitely purchase the shower gel and lip balm in the future. I’ll also definitely be open to trying other Vichy products. Thanks ChickAdvisor and Vichy!
