During the holiday season, I love to give gifts more than to receive them, not only because I get to wrap them (I’m obsessed with gift wrapping!), but mainly to see loved ones’ reactions as they tear through the paper. When I received this huge Pixi Beauty PR package, you should have seen my reaction, as I wasn’t expecting to receive it! I was so surprised, my jaw was literally on the ground in awe of how pretty the box is and to see how many wonderful products were included.
Every year, Pixi sends out a package filled with products that are carefully curated in collaboration with beauty gurus. In the latest mailer, we get to swatch eyeshadows, highlighters and lip glosses from ThatsHeart, RachhLoves, Chloe Morello, Maryam Maquillage and From Head to Toe. As you will see in the swatches below, there’s a clear theme across all products, and that is that they’re filled with metallics that will give you that glitter and glow look!
Pixi x RachhLoves
The Layers Highlighting Palette by RachhLoves includes 5 shimmering multi-use highlighters that will bring out your natural glow. Sweep it across your cheekbones, lids and body to amplify and transition your day look to your evening look. Knit definitely pops out to me as a shade to apply on the lids, and Lace is the perfect rose metallic on the cheeks.

Pixi x From Head to Toe
These Glow-Y Powders and Endless Shade Stick by From Head to Toe are so beautifully pigmented and were created to highlight your best features. Fetch and Wednesdays perfectly fit in my typical neutral palette to give me a natural look. You can apply a little during the day and build up the colour for a bolder evening look. The Endless Shade Stick is convenient for travel or to pop in your handbag since it takes no space at all!

Pixi x ThatsHeart
Heart really hit the nail on the head with this Eye Heart Palette. In a palette that includes every single possible shade, these are hues that I gravitate towards and will hit pan even before I have touched any of the blues or greens. There’s a nice mix of warm, silky mineral matte and metallic shades that nicely blend together. A little goes a long way, as they’re incredibly pigmented. This will become a regular palette!

Pixi x Chloe Morello
These Lip Icings by Chloe Morello are shimmery and glossy. I don’t use lip glosses often, perhaps because I still associate lip glosses of today to how they were in the ’90s, sticky and uncomfortable. These, however, are infused with rosehip and marula oil to keep the lips nourished and fresh. The colours are like from a unicorn dream, a frosted blue, a light and hot pink, which are very subtle when applied.

Pixi x Maryam Maquillage
These Lit Kits are two duos by Maryam Maquillage that include a liquid eyeshadow and a liquid lipstick. The Day Kit features Mirage, a shimmery rose gold liquid eyeshadow and the Night Kit, Starry Night, which is a black and gold shade. The texture doesn’t make the application very friendly, as the glitter clumps and doesn’t apply evenly. It takes some time to dry, so I’m sitting there with my eyes closed until it does. The liquid lipsticks, however, are great! The Day Kit includes Coral Bang, a beautiful bold shade, and the Night Kit, Posh Nude, which is a sophisticated neutral shade that’s perfect for when you want your eyes to pop but still want to give your lips a little colour. The formula is hydrating and comfortable so your lips won’t crack or feel dry throughout the evening.
