Having acne-prone skin, my skin is damaged and scarred from blemishes. I know, I know, I’m not supposed to touch or pop anything and let the pimples run their course. But if you’re going to tell me not to do something, evidently I’ll sub-consciously do it. It can’t be helped! I heard that vitamin C has great antioxidant properties to repair damaged skin and for anti-aging, which I need to be more mindful of when selecting products. It also encourages the production of collagen, which the skin starts to lose overtime. I surprisingly received Pixi Beauty’s PR package containing their vitamin C collection! The products were contained in an adorable personalized plastic container. A blessing in disguise? Whatever the case may be, I was excited to try these Skintreats products out. 

Vitamin-C Juice Cleanser
The first time I tried the Vitamin-C Juice Cleanser, I used it all wrong! I thought it was a cleanser to apply to the face to then rinse off, but you don’t actually need to do so! This product gently cleanses the skin from impurities and brightens it with the single swipe of a cotton pad. If I’m in a hurry, this could be used as a cleanser and toner without the need to rinse off with water.

Vitamin-C Tonic
You know how much I love the iconic Glow Tonic, so I was so excited to discover a tonic packed with vitamin C! The Vitamin-C Tonic was curated to illuminate and to smooth the complexion and to prep the skin for the next skincare product. The tonic doesn’t sting or dry out the skin (it’s alcohol-free!), but rather provides a soothing hydration, which I love! Don’t forget to apply it on the neck and décolletage; this is an important pointer to remember, as I’m not getting any younger!

Vitamin-C Serum
My skincare routine used to not include a serum, but after understanding the importance of one, I haven’t gone a day without applying one prior to my moisturizer. Just a couple of drops of the enriching Vitamin-C Serum rubbed between my palms and patted on my skin will help to improve skin tone and protect the skin from free radicals and sun damage.

Vitamin-C Lotion
The final step to the facial routine is the moisturizer! Your skin deserves to look its best and what better product to let it show off its natural glow than the Vitamin-C Lotion! It’s rich and thick in texture, which brightens, hydrates, protects and revitalizes the skin.

Vitamin-C Caviar Balm
The Vitamin-C Caviar Balm is la crème de la crème of the collection. It’s a rich leave-on mask that provides all the benefits while deeply hydrating and nourishing the skin. It can be used in the morning before makeup application, but I use it in the evening before going to bed to really allow the encapsulated vitamins melt and get fully absorbed by the skin overnight.
