Pixi Beauty is continuously innovating and launching new products such as the newest Hydrating Milky Collection. I was gifted the products and was so excited to try them during this time of quarantine because it gave me something to do! This is a 6-step routine for soothing and hydrating skin. Pixi products weren’t widely available in Canada but for those of you who want to grab a few or all of these products, they’re available on Shoppers Drug Mart’s Beauty Boutique.
Before getting into the products, can we take a moment to look at the packaging? How freakin’ adorable! Pixi always hits it out of the park with their PR packaging. This one mimics a milk bottle carrier and each product has been individually packaged to indicate the order in which each product should be used in the routine. Although it’s so cute, it is wasteful, BUT it’s indicated on the carton that it’s all 100% recyclable. Now onto the goods!
The Hydrating Milky Makeup Remover is effective in removing even waterproof makeup while hydrating and restoring comfort to the skin. It contains coconut to nourish, probiotics to balance and oat extract to soothe. You’ll notice that the product looks like a bi-phase remove (milky portion and liquid portion) so be sure to shake the product before use. I really like the convenient pump that dispenses the product so that you get just the right amount of product on your cotton pad. Especially on the eyes, I like to gently press down for a few seconds before swiping around to allow the product to penetrate through the makeup to dissolve it.

The Hydrating Milky Cleanser is a daily cleanser that’s super gentle on the skin so if you have sensitive skin, this is a great product for you! It’s enriched with jojoba to nourish, coconut extract to hydrate as well as willow bark extract and probiotics to balance the skin to give you a glowing complexion. I can’t think of any other way to describe the texture other than saying that it’s milky because that’s exactly what it is! It’s rich and creamy, spreads nicely on the skin and washes off effortlessly.

The Hydrating Milky Peel is a micro-peeling cream that exfoliates the skin using natural cellulose to help minimize the appearance of pores and to nourish the skin. Like the cleanser, it contains coconut and willow bark extracts. Massage the product on a wet face and rinse off after 2-3 minutes. I didn’t notice my pores shrinking or any different than after using the cleanser, but my skin felt so so soft!
SRP: $34 for 80mL
I really love the Glow Tonic so I was so excited to see what the Hydrating Milky Tonic had in store. On a cleansed skin, this product tones, hydrates and relaxes the skin. It contains jojoba milk, green tea and oat extract to nourish, protect and soothes the complexion. With a few drops on a cotton pad, sweep it across the face (don’t forget the neck and décolletage!). It’s alcohol and paraben-free!
SRP: $20 for 100mL
The Hydrating Milky Serum deeply nourishes the skin beyond the surface and restores natural radiance and elasticity. It plumps and softens fine lines so you’ll reap the benefits of the product in the long-term with a healthy complexion. It contains rosehip oil, which is a great anti-aging ingredient as well as for acne, and vitamin C to protect the skin from free radicals. The pipette is very convenient to draw out the product from the bottle, and I put a few drops of the serum in the palms of my hands and gently dab it all over the face and neck.
SRP: $34 for 30mL
Lastly, the Hydrating Milky Lotion is a soothing moisturizing with coconut and shea butter. It’s a multi-use product that can be used to moisturize the face and body. It also contains cocoa seed extract to protect the skin. A pea-size amount is all you need to restore hydration.
