In a nutshell, it’s a Canadian company that allows your to be part of a review panel to test out products and to provide your two cents about them. So, what’s the catch? There aren’t any! Once you get the email informing you that a new product is up for review, you simply need to apply, answer a few questions, and cross your fingers in the hopes you get selected. It’s honestly the luck of the draw if you get selected, but when you do, it totally makes your day (at least it does mine). I was above the moon when I got selected to test out NIVEA’s Q10 firming line!
Sidebar – the products were sent to my place but since I wasn’t home, they delivered them to the closest Canada Post office, to which I went to, only to find out that they lost my package. SAY WHAT?! I was SO devastated, but after a few phone calls and days later, they retrieved my package, so all is good in the world.
What’s amazing about ChickAdvisor is that they don’t just give you a measly sample size for you to trial the product once. They give you a full size product so that you can really integrate them into your daily routine so that you can truly assess the features and benefits of it. Upon applying for this program, I thought I was going to get one of the three products in the Q10 firming line, but when I opened the box, I received all three! I went from 100 to 1,000 in a heartbeat!
I’ve used body oils in the past and I usually apply it to my skin before stepping out of the shower. The Q10 Firming Body Oil feels like a richer, almost thicker oil that absorbs nicely into the skin without leaving it feeling greasy. The longer the oil sits on the skin, the more of a ”glow” it gives (if that even makes sense, but try it and you’ll understand what I mean!). It doesn’t have a strong scent so you’re not bothered by it. I cannot say for certain that it firms my skin, but it hydrates it very nicely.
Lathering lotion on my body after showering is an unquestionable part of my daily routine. After stepping out of the shower and letting my skin absorb the body oil for a minute, I apply a thin layer of the lotion (a little goes a long way!). It doesn’t have a strong scent, which is one of the many things I look for in a body lotion. Although I cannot say for sure that my skin feels firmer, my skin feels so soft and hydrated.
I bake and do a lot of house cleaning so I find myself constantly washing my hands, leaving them pruned at the tips and irritated. When it comes to lotions, I always look for one that deeply moisturizes and hydrates my hands in a short period of time. The Q10 Anti-Age Hand Cream does just that and keeps my hands feeling soft even after I run them under water. It has a thick consistency that works well into the skin and doesn’t leave a strong scent. It’s the perfect size to pop in my handbag to use throughout the day.
