I remember years ago as a teenager, watches were trendy not to tell time, but for its other functionalities such as the stopwatch, integrated games, or simply the fact that it could light up in the dark. Nowadays, one will still wear a watch to keep track of the time, but it has become more so a fashion statement. The look has returned back to its minimalist, clean and classy look. What used to be more of a bulky piece is now slim and refined, perfect for everyday wear.
My attention was immediately piqued the first time I saw a MVMT watch, as it has a stunningly sophisticated look. The metallic finishes in gold and rose gold, the clean face and the fact that it can seamlessly match every look in my lookbook, I knew I had to get my hands on one of these. Fortunately, I was able to take advantage of the brand’s anniversary sale, giving me 15% off and free shipping on my order. I went back and forth between a 28mm and a 38mm watch. On the one hand, I have a small wrist and so I’m more inclined to wear daintier watches, but I absolutely loved the Malibu watch, which is a 38mm face. Although I was a little way, I couldn’t pass up on the opportunity to get it.
The 38mm isn’t bulky whatsoever and I absolutely adore it! The strap is a delicate metal with a rose gold finish that’s really easy to adjust to any wrist size. What’s interesting is that there aren’t any pieces to remove, rather, the buckle slides up and down the strap to conform to any wrist size. The buckle itself is very secure so you’re assured that it won’t fall off easily. It’s an absolute beauty and I’m sure this won’t be the last MVMT watch I purchase.
