Your morning routine is clockwork, sometimes you get through it without even thinking about what you’re doing, but your movements are repeated day after day by force of habit. In turn, your skincare routine follows suit. Mine is always changing, depending on new products that I discover or the time of the year. I’ve been using the same products for some time now because they’ve been so effective for me, so I’ll take you through what I use from cleanser to treatment!
As you may know from all the products that I’ve written about on the blog, I have acne-prone skin, so most products are targeted for such a skin. I’ve stopped purchasing mass brands and find myself buying products that are found at your local drugstore that target specific skin problems and I’ve really seen the difference. I’m not against mass brands, but they aren’t effective enough to keep my skin clean and clear. I can’t promise that these products will help you gain a clear complexion, but I have seen a significant difference in my skin in using them (and by maintaining a healthy lifestyle and diet of course!).
My usual face cleanser is Uriage’s Hyséac Cleansing Gel and I love how gentle yet performing this product is on combination to oily skin. This soap-free gel cleanses and purifies your skin while eliminating excess sebum without messing with the integrity of your skin’s epidermis. My skin feels so fresh and clean without feeling like its moisture was stripped away.

Every other day, I use Vasanti’s BrightenUp! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator instead. It’s an exfoliator that brightens your skin, reduces fine lines and scarring to allow you to feel, look and live your best life! Although it has micro-crystals to remove dead skin, it’s a gentle scrub that won’t do any harm even if you have sensitive skin.

Now that my skin is prepped, I dab Nivea’s Essential Lip Balm on my lips to give it moisture. This product is no stranger to the blog because it’s one that I can depend on to instantly hydrate and sooth my lips in the morning prior to applying lipstick.
SRP: $2.47 for 2×4.8g lip balms
A toner that I love to bits and pieces is Pixi’s Glow Tonic. It’s one that I have been using forever and love love love it! It freshens and softens your skin while removing impurities. It contains Glycolic Acid, which is super friendly for acne-prone skin. This toner also refines the appearance of pores, so I’m all for it! It’s an alcohol-free product, so it won’t give you a stinging sensation. Your skin feels rebalanced and a healthy glow is restored. Did I mention that it smells deliciously of ginseng and aloe vera??
SRP: $38 for 250mL
Nuxe’s 48H Moisture Skin-Quenching Serum quenches your skin so effortlessly, no matter what your skin type. It’s a product packed with rich active ingredients of Algae Extract, soothing Allantoin, and natural origin Hyaluronic Acid, giving your skin radiance and health.

I only recently started using an eye contour because I never felt like I needed one, but just feeling the fresh and cooling sensation of Uriage’s Water Eye Contour Cream in the morning helps me wake up in the morning. The skin around your eyes is delicate and more sensitive than other areas, so you need a cream that is gentle yet performant in reducing fine lines and dark circles. If you need an extra cooling effect to help reduce puffiness, you can stick the product in the fridge.
$25.95 for 15mL
Finally, the last product (bear with me!). This is another Uriage product that has improved the appearance of blemishes. Hyséac 3-Regul is one of the products with the highest percentage of AHA on the market, so it really works in keeping pimples and blackheads at bay. If you have a shiny t-zone, this cream will mattify and refine your skin texture. I’ll sometimes switch this out with the Hyséac 3-Regul Tinted when I want to skip out on applying makeup.
SRP: $23.50 for 40mL
My secret weapon when I have a pimple appear is tea tree oil. It’s potent and super effective in treating blemishes due to its antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. With the use of a q-tip, I dip the end into the oil and locally apply it where needed. If you have sensitive skin, you can dilute some of the oil in water. This is staple product to keep in your medicine cabinet.
