I wish I could wake up and look half decent and awake. I was born with short and sparse lashes, but luckily for me, lash extensions exist. I have been getting mine done for about two years now and the last time I went for a refill (about a month ago), my lashes were rejecting them. The extensions fell out without reason, so I decided to put refills on hold and to give my itty bitty lashes a break.
Meanwhile, I received a set of MesmorEyes Lashes from ChickAdvisor to review. What perfect timing! What’s interesting about the band lashes from this brand is that they’re made specifically for your eye shape. I have one eye that has a monolid and the other is almond shaped, but I decided to get the ones for monolid eyes to see what they were about. I was very intrigued because I’ve never seen this before. The package came with three sets: the first is a very simple and subtle length, the second is a little fuller and the third is much more dramatic.
I tested the first set, which is called ”Day” and they gave me good length but lacked the volume I was looking for. I attempted to take photos but you could barely see them on the photos. I recently tried the ”Play” pair and these gave me the look I was hoping for. Though they were fuller, they still gave me a natural look. They don’t look like band lashes at all!
Although I’ve struggled with putting on band lashes in the past, the application was really easy, especially since I used an eyelash applicator tool. I purchased one from Miniso for about $3 and it really gets the job done in a minute. I had to cut the ends because they were too long for my eyes. If you need to do so as well, make sure to cut the part that will glue onto your outer lid. The glue holds super well and you only really need a thin layer on the band for it to hold all day. I bring the glue with me on-the-go in case the tips start to unglue (it’s happened a couple of times).
Overall I’m really happy with MesmorEYES Lashes! I love that each package has 3 pairs and that give you a different look. However, I don’t know how these were made for monolids, as they look like regular band lashes. I have yet to try the ”night” pair but I’ll definitely post my look on Instagram when I do!
The package of lashes retail for about $12.99.
