I love a good skincare product that deeply hydrates my skin without making it overly oily or shiny. LANEIGE sent me their Water Bank Dual Layer Face Oil for review and it’s an interesting emulsion of ampoule and oil. A what now?! It’s the first product that I’ve tried that contains ampoule so it’s the first time that I hear of the term. It’s basically a supercharged serum with higher concentrations of active ingredients that’s to be used as a spot treatment where hydration is needed.
The Dual Layer Face Oil is a combination of ampoule and oil that comes in a pretty opaque blue glass bottle. You really need to shake the bottle to fully emulsify the product. It comes out drop by drop so you can control the amount that you put on your skin. You can also drop a few drops onto the palm of your hand if you want to apply it on the entire face. It’s best to be used after an essence or toner.
The emulsion is so subtly fragranced and immediately absorbs into the skin, so quickly that you don’t see it, but your face will feel so plump and soft. In the morning, you can apply your makeup immediately after applying the face oil. Having naturally oily skin, the product doesn’t work against it or produce excess sebum. My skin feels fresh and hydrated!
