This week I got into the holiday spirit at Indigo‘s Holiday Preview event in Montreal to preview the Holiday Collection. I must admit that it felt odd immersing myself into a room full of festive Christmas items in the dead heat of summer. The event took place at a pop-up home in the Old Port of Montreal, which also looked like a place I would see myself living in. It was a quaint, white and minimalist space with high ceilings.
The collection was split in two rooms: the bedroom featured an absolutely sophisticated and classy collection inspired by the ballet, Swan Lake. The colour pallet matched my taste to the tee. If you were to ask me to create my dream bedroom look, it would have been this room. Bed linens, pillows, throws, scarves and little pouch accessories were found around the room in blush, greys and other pastel colours. To be honest, when I first walked into the room, I felt like I was in heaven, but it also didn’t look like a Christmas-y collection. Gold accents were found in the picture frames and jewelry, which complemented the rest of the room exquisitely. I fell in love with everything in it.
In the main room, I felt right at home. As a Canadian, I felt like the pieces represented the nation’s heritage with the plaids and red in the throws, socks, tablecloth and napkins. There was a cabin feel to it as well. It felt very authentic, especially with all the faux fur everywhere, in the pillows, rugs, chair drapes and blankets. A large table was adorned with all the entertaining and food items; place setting for Christmas morning and the cheese platter to serve at dinner. Throughout the space, there were also gift suggestions for him and her: Swell bottles, reading socks, scarves, bags, tech items and so much more.
I stayed for well over an hour, mesmerized by everything before my eyes. The reps at Indigo iterated that Indigo’s that one-stop-shop where you can get all your holiday shopping done for anyone, whether it’s for your significant other, siblings, parents, your co-worker for a Secret Santa. You’re sure to find whatever you need there.
The Holiday Collection comes out in October, but I’m giving you all a little sneak peek! Leave me a comment on your favourite items from the collections!
