First Impression: Tarte Tartelette Toasted Palette December 28, 2017
I have loved Tarte‘s Tartelette palettes ever since I discovered Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte. When Bloom came out, I knew I had to pick one up, and now with the arrival of Toasted, it had to be part of the Christmas wish list to complete the trio.
Toasted comes with an abundance of warm brown hues, in both matte and shimmer shades, so this is a really great versatile palette for day to night looks. If you’re someone who likes neutral tones like me, this palette is an absolute must for you.
The colours are so pigmented and were created with the same Amazonian clay formula, so you’re sure to have long-lasting wear without a primer or any touch-up. You can create countless of different looks with these easily blendable shades.
My go-to combination for a simple and natural look is to apply Cashmere on the eyelid up to the brow bone, then blend in Cozy in the crease, followed by fireside in the outer crease and lid. To add a little oumph to your evening look, add a touch of the candle or flame shimmer shade in the inner to the middle part of your eyelid.
Although these three palettes can be described as having neutral-toned colours, they’re all very much different and a definite must-have in your makeup repertoire! I was so excited to get this as a Christmas gift. It is a great staple especially if you want to create many looks with one palette. Many times when I get a palette, I’ll only use a few of the colours because most of the other shades are a little out there for me, but I’ll be using every single shade in this one!
