Growing up, I never had crazy acne breakouts and thought that I was one of the lucky ones, but I’ve been experiencing adult acne for the last year and it seems like I can never catch a break. As soon as I think that I have my skin under control, I feel a huge pimple coming on on my chin or in the middle of my cheek.
I’ve done everything I possibly could to have a clear complexion, from my diet to the beauty products that I use. For this reason, I’ve always strayed away from using a liquid foundation. From past experiences, a liquid foundation and my oily and acne-prone skin was a recipe for disaster! It’s not even noon and the product has already oxidized on my face, making it oily, cakey and just a hot mess. I’ve turned to powdered foundations but they still leave my face a little shiny.
When I received Almay’s Clear Complexion Makeup Foundation, I gave it the benefit of the doubt. I received shade 400 – Neutral courtesy of Topbox Circle to review and I was pleasantly surprised.
You’ll notice my blemished skin has a few acne scars. Upon applying the product, it was easy to blend on to the skin with a brush and it covered my scars well. It also didn’t sting my sensitive skin and provided great coverage.
To my surprise, the product held so well on my skin. I had it on from 10AM until 9PM and it didn’t oxidize whatsoever. I blotted my face midway through the day and very little product came off. My face, especially my t-zone, wasn’t shiny at all. Almay’s Clear Complexion Makeup Foundation restored my trust in liquid foundations, and I would highly recommend it to anyone!
